Public Administration Department Internship

Internship is offered as a "Compulsory Course" in our department. Students taking the course can get support for the necessities in exchanging official correspondence and establishment of contacts by the internship coordinators of the department.

Internship Application Process

Students in the Department of Public Administration are required to do a mandatory internship for 40 working days. Students can also do voluntary internships. Internships can be done domestically or abroad. The aim of the internship is to enable students to experience a real workplace environment other than their departmental courses, to strengthen their theoretical background with practical knowledge and practice, and to gain a practical professional horizon to the theoretical skills they have acquired in the fields of business and management. Students doing internships in various departments of institutions operating in the production or service sector have the opportunity to observe the work done and participate in them. One of the important contributions of the internship is to improve the communication skills of the students. During the internship period, students can also find the opportunity to strengthen their foreign languages. Internship opportunities can also assist students in finding employment for the future. Students prepare an internship report at the end of their compulsory internship. 

Students who will do internships should first contact the Department Internship Coordinators.

Before starting your internship, you must complete the Internship Form and have it approved by your coordinator.

Students who have completed their internship must fill out the Institution Evaluation Form, Intern Evaluation Form, Internship Progress Form, and Internship Completion Form, and submit them to the internship coordinator along with their internship report.

At least 21 days before the start of their internship, students must submit the following documents to the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Student Affairs Office so that our university can arrange their Social Security Institution Internship Insurance.

• Internship Pre-Application Form
• The original “Internship Approval Form” issued by the host organization
• 2 Letters of Undertaking (General Letter of Undertaking and SGK Letter of Undertaking)
• A copy of the student's ID card
• Certificate of Residence
• A photo of the student
• Health Insurance Coverage Information Sheet
